Church Rideshare

Would you be willing to give a family a ride to church? We have a few families in a 10 minute radius of church who are looking for rides so they can come consistently on Sunday. If you are able, please contact Tatum@wesleymumc.org (even those who come early can help!) Thank you!

Pre-Order Tatum’s Book! A Lenten Devotional focusing on Disability Justice called Blessed is the Body: Disability Justice and the Community of Christ.

This devotional combines Tatum’s personal story, Lenten reflection, Scripture, and Disability culture and history. It includes sections each day of Lent to read scripture, reflect from a Disability perspective on that scripture, consider reflection questions provided, and connect it to embodied practices each day. Then each Sunday, there is a prayer that ties together the themes of the week. It’s a thought provoking, interactive read that blends Disability justice and Lenten theology with creativity and depth. Published through Herald Press, there will be both a print and audio version (in Tatum’s voice) available in December in time for Lent 2026!

Pastor Appreciation Month

October is Pastor Appreciation Month!  Drop a note of gratitude for Pastor Matt and place it in his mailbox (hallway by the offices) anytime in October. We’ll gather for a fellowship after the service on Sunday, October 12, as the Leadership Board shares a small gift from our church family. Thank you for helping us honor Pastor Matt’s faithful service!

October Mission Focus: Wesley @ UVA  |

This month’s mission focus is Wesley at UVA, the university ministry we joyfully support through prayer, service, and giving. Our congregation pledged $3,000 toward Wesley at UVA in 2025, and as of October 12, we’ve received $240 toward that goal. Every gift helps create a welcoming space for students to explore faith, find belonging, and grow as leaders. To contribute, please mark your gift “Wesley @ UVA” or include it in the memo line of your check
