“In Christ there is neither Jew nor Gentile, male nor female, slave nor free.” All means all. All God’s people, of every age, race, marital status, immigration status, sexual orientation, gender identity (cis, trans, non binary, or questioning), financial means, ability or disability, and spiritual tradition are welcome here in the name and love of God, to worship, learn and serve.
Wesley Memorial Church is an affirming, welcoming and reconciling congregation.
Wesley is a church where people who have been burned by religion in the past or have never been religious before can find a home. Ours is a theology of abundance: the love of Christ is unconditional, and Jesus brings freely-given spiritual and material abundance to all. We believe all people are made in the image of God, and that discrimination and exclusion are incompatible with the love of Christ.
We stand with those around us to protect and fight for the dignity of every person, who is created in the image of God.
We know that when we work in harmony with the earth, God, and each other there will be more than enough to meet every need.
We believe Christ came into this world to free us from the powers of sin, death, and injustice. We experience that liberation each week in worship, in the receiving of the sacraments, and in the way we work together to live in the kingdom of God.
Much of our space is available to use by the local community for weddings, AA meetings, Student organizations, special events etc. If you are interested in renting out a space in our church or Education building, please email the church office.
