Holy Week: A Journey of Faith and Renewal Returning to the Heart of God

Holy Week at Wesley Memorial is a transformative spiritual journey that begins with the jubilant celebration of Palm Sunday, where choir members and children wave palm branches as they enter the sanctuary commemorating Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem. Throughout the week, we will hold special services that walk through Christ’s final days, including a solemn Maundy Thursday service remembering the Last Supper, and a powerful Good Friday stations of the cross reflecting on Jesus’ crucifixion. Both invite our community to deeply contemplate the profound sacrifice and love demonstrated by Christ. Our journey culminates on Easter Sunday with two inspiring worship services that proclaim the hope and joy of resurrection. In between our morning services, we will host a festive community potluck brunch where members can share food and fellowship. The celebration continues with a delightful children’s egg hunt on the church lawn, complete with a bouncy castle to bring extra excitement and joy to our youngest members. This week is a time of reflection, hope, and ultimate celebration of God’s transformative love.
